1. Data controller
Splitprint (a trade name of Wiby, based in the Netherlands) is the data controller for the processing of your personal data. We create personalised race artefacts based on publicly published Hyrox race data.
- Privacy questions: hello@splitprint.store
2. What data we process, and why
We only process what is needed, with the legal basis listed per purpose:
| Data | Purpose | Legal basis |
|---|---|---|
| Name, race, division and split times (publicly available through the official results) | Creating your preview and artefact | Performance of the contract; legitimate interest in offering a preview before purchase |
| Email address | Sending your preview or order and keeping you updated | Performance of the contract; consent for the free preview |
| Name and delivery address | Delivering your order | Performance of the contract |
| Email address combined with order data (on our server only) | Analysing whether a free preview or Share Card leads to an order, so we can improve our offer. Nothing is shared with third parties and we only report totals, never individual profiles. | Legitimate interest |
| Searches in the search bar, with the number of results found (on our server only) | Understanding which races and athletes people look for, so we can add missing results and improve our offer | Legitimate interest |
| Anonymous, cookieless usage statistics | Improving the site | Legitimate interest |
We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling.
3. Who we share data with
We never sell your data. We do engage service providers that process data on our behalf as processors, exclusively for the purposes listed above and under a data processing agreement:
- Google (Firebase Hosting and Firestore) for running the site and storing orders, with data storage in the European Union.
- The provider of the Hyrox results (hyroxresultapi.com) for retrieving your split data.
- Our print and delivery partners for producing and shipping the print.
- Our email provider (Resend) for sending previews, confirmations and the digital version.
When you pay for an order, you check out with Gumroad, Inc., our payment partner and merchant of record. Gumroad processes your payment and invoice details (and the delivery address you enter there) as an independent data controller; see the Gumroad privacy policy. Gumroad shares the order details with us so we can produce and deliver your order.
4. Transfers outside the EEA
We prefer to store data within the European Economic Area. If a service provider processes data outside the EEA, this only happens with appropriate safeguards, such as the standard contractual clauses of the European Commission.
5. Retention periods
- Previews and related data: no longer than 12 months.
- Searches in the search bar: no longer than 30 days, with the IP address stored only as an encrypted hash.
- Order and invoice data: 7 years, due to the Dutch statutory tax retention obligation.
- Email addresses for updates: until you unsubscribe.
6. Security
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data. The connection to the site is encrypted (HTTPS) and access to orders is restricted.
7. Cookies
The site works without tracking cookies. Our usage statistics are anonymous and cookieless. We do use a functional cookie to keep you logged in and local storage in your browser to remember your poster choices and email address during your visit. No consent is needed for this. Should we want to place marketing or analytics cookies later, we will ask for your consent first.
8. Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify, erase and restrict your data, the right to object and the right to data portability. If you have given consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Send your request to hello@splitprint.store; we respond within 30 days.
9. Complaints
If you disagree with how we handle your data, you can lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) via autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl, or with the supervisory authority in your own EU member state.
10. Changes
We may update this privacy statement, for example when we start using a new service. The current version is always on this page, with the date at the top.
